Wind is the natural element of the horse. As it gallops forward, the wind rises to meet it, and its mane and tail flow freely as it speeds along. Prayers are carried on the wind, and prayer flags are often known as 'lung-ta' (wind horse).
Each string is just over 6 feet in length, and holds flags of five (5) different colors. Each individual flag measures 3" x 3" and depicts a wind horse in the center.
