Product Description

This is a fine print of a thangka that illustrates the wrathful form of the Bodhisattva Vajrapani, or Guhyapati, the Lord of Secrets, who is known as a protector of Buddhas, and holds the transmission of Tantric teachings for human beings. He belongs to the Akshobhya Buddha family.

Vajrapani's body is a deep, majestic blue. He wears gold ornaments and a tiger skin skirt, and stands with his legs outstretched. He holds a blazing vajra in his right hand, forming a threatening gesture. Around his neck is a green snake. With three eyes and a fierce gaze that reflects his strong compassion, he helps practitioners dissolve afflictive emotions into a blazing fire of pure wisdom. Above him is the luminous form of Shakyamuni Buddha, radiating rainbow light, and reminding us that we too can progress until we reach enlightenment.

The small Thangka, intended to be a meditation aid, measures 14" x 10.25", and can be hung near or above your shrine.
