"Shri Vaishravana is the guardian king of the northern direction and a protector and creator of wealth. He is closely associated with Dzambhala, who also symbolizes the protection of wealth.
Shri Vaishravana rides a fearless lion and hold a mongoose that spits out wish-fulfilling jewels. In his right hand he holds a banner of victory, symbol of the victorious quality of enlightenment, to eclipse the ups and downs of samsaric existence.
It is said that making offerings of incense and other substances to Shri Vaishravana, either physically or mentally, can increase both one's spiritual and worldly wealth."
