Dark Blue Goldstone Mala

Goldstone is a beautiful man-made gemstone originally created in 17th century Venice. To produce goldstone, glass is melted with silica and metal oxides in a carefully controlled low-oxygen reducing environment, allowing the metallic crystals to precipitate the glass as it cools. This dark blue goldstone mala is made with cobalt as opposed to copper, which makes this stone appear blue unlike the traditional goldstone which has a golden-copper hue.
