This beautiful silver-plated melong was hand-crafted by Nepalese craftspeople. Melong literally means "mirror" and is a symbol of emptiness and pure conciousness-- any image reflected in the surface of the mirror ultimately does not affect the clear, pure nature of the mirror itself. A melong can be found on a shrine, or adorning a datar (longevity arrow,) and is traditionally used during a number of Vajrayana empowerments.
