A beautiful gold plated statue of Guru Rinpoche sitting 9 inches tall. Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, helped to establish the Dharma in Tibet in the eighth century by constructing Samye Monastary, the first Buddhist monastary in Tibet. He and his consort, Yeshe Tsogyal, are considered the heart essence of the Dzogchen teachings and the source of the Nyingma school's terma tradition. Every square inch of this statue is absolutely exquisite. The gold-plating gives the entire statue a warmth which seems to glow when light touches it. Statues like this are one of a kind.
