Guru Dorje Drolod, which translates to Wild Wrathful Vajra, is one of the eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche. In this terrifying wrathful form of crazy wisdom he rides upon a pregnant tigress, and wields a vajra in his right hand and a phurba in his left. Dorje Drolod is the subject of one of H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche's four main terma cycles, and thus is practiced frequently at Pema Osel Ling. The Vajrayana Foundation also maintains the 30' Dorje Drolod stupa at Namdrol Pemay Gatsal, which is located at Pema Osel Ling.
This large thangka is a particularly fine depiction of Dojre Drolod. Hand-painted by a Nepali artist, this exquisite thankga would be a powerful support for your practice.
