Chokhor Duchen

Great Wheel Day, or Chokhor Duchen, celebrates the anniversary upon which Buddha Shakyamuni first taught the Four Noble Truths in the deer park at Sarnath. Also known as the Festival of Turning the Wheel of Dharma, Great Wheel Day is one of the four main holy days in the Tibetan calendar, and karmic results of actions on this day are multiplied one hundred million times.
