Saffron

1 gm tin of 100% pure, premium grade Spanish saffron. Add to your water offering bowls, or use to color and scent rice for mandala offerings. Very fresh and fragrant. When made into a concentrate, it will last for days in the refrigerator, or sprinkle one or two threads into each water offering bowl.

• Saffron is made from the dried stigmas of the flower species crocus. Each flower of the crocus sativus has only three pistils, and these must be picked by hand. 
• Spanish saffron is well-known in Europe and America for its romantic aroma, lovely flavor, and coloring capabilities.

• Spanish saffron generally does not come in all red threads; you should expect to see some yellow with your saffron.
