The Jewel Treasure of the Dharmadhatu (Chöying Dzöd) is one of the Seven Treasures of the great Nyingma master Longchen Rabjam (1308–1364) — a sublime distillation of the Dzogchen view and one of the most profound presentations of the nature of mind in the Tibetan tradition.
In luminous yet concise root verses, Longchenpa points directly to the expanse of reality itself: the dharmadhatu, the all-pervasive ground of being in which samsara and enlightenment are inseparable. These verses are not merely philosophical; they are meant to be contemplated, recited, and brought into one’s own lived experience, guiding practitioners again and again back to the immediacy of awakened awareness.
This pocket-sized edition has been lovingly created so that students can keep this essential text close at hand. Small enough to travel anywhere, it is intended as a constant companion for daily reflection and practice, offering a moment of return to the vast openness of the natural state wherever one may be.
May this translation by Light of Berotsana make Longchenpa’s timeless wisdom accessible to a new generation of qualified practitioners, and may these precious verses serve as a doorway into the jewel treasury of the dharmadhatu itself.
115 pages; 4.25" x 5.75" faux leather bound book with gilded gold edge pages
All those who have the fortune and wish to engage with this level of practice must have first received the Nyingtig Yabzhi or the Ladrub Tigle Gyachan empowerment, followed by the reading transmission (lung) and upadesha instructions. Once empowerment and transmission are received, disciples must tame their minds through the preliminary practices under the guidance of a qualified master.
