Unbleached cotton H.H. Dalai Lama prayer flags from Nepal. Made from natural fibres, jute cords, and non-toxic dyes, these prayer flags decompose naturally with zero microplastic pollution. They are also safe to burn, releasing no toxic fumes. These muslin flags have different color ink on each flag. Symbolism-blue for heaven, white for air, red for fire, green for water and yellow for earth.

Prayer flags are flown to increase harmony, healing energy, prosperity, and well-being for oneself and all beings. 

These flags were specially designed to mark H.H Dalai Lama 90th birthday. Inspired by His Holiness' poem "The Sheltering Tree of Interdependence" translated in Tibetan.

The poem is invoking the blessing of Buddha and Avalokitesvara. The poem acknowledges Buddhas profound understanding of interconnectedness between environment, sentient beings, Samsara and Nirvana, which he compassionately teaches to the world. And seeks kindness of Buddha and the wisdom of Avalokitesvara to perceive reality without illusion.

He also reflects on ignorance ingrained in humans that contaminates and pollutes the nature and environment, highlighting the collective karma that reflects all sentient beings. He encourages and reminds us to recognize and repay our mothers kindness by nurturing the earth, our universal mother, forsaking wastefulness and pollution and engaging in action that benefits all.
